IN 2004 - 2005

1. Seminar on “Latest Amendments and Redressal on E.S.I & Employees Provident Fund” - on 16th April, 2004 – at GRT Grand Days Hotel, Chennai 17. In this seminar Mr. P. Gurusamy, Jt. Director (Revenue), & Mr. Rajashekhar Hegde, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner and other senior officials from ESI Corpn., & the Commissioner of Employee Provident Fund have participated. There were 206 participants from 148 organizations attended.

2. Training Programme on “Total Employee Involvement in the Organization” on 2nd July, 2004 by Mr. M. Chidambaram, Director of Academy for Creative Excellence and eminent speaker inspired over 50000 people through more than 2000 keynote addresses, training seminars and guest lectures. There were 46 participants from 31 organizations attended.

3. Seminar cum Interaction meeting on “Latest Development in Labour & Industrial Sector” on 9th July, 2004 – at GRT Grand Days Hotel, Chennai 17. In this seminar Mr. M. Sai Kumar, I.A.S., Commissioner of Labour and Mr. R. Thiruvengadam, Chief Inspector of Factories and other senior officials from Inspector of Factories and Commissioner of Labour were participated. There were 68 participants from 52 organizations attended.

4. Two Days Seminar cum Interaction Meeting on “Tax Planning” on 30th July, 2004 & 31st July, 2004 (Saturday) – at GRT Grand Days Hotel, Chennai 17.
Shri R.N. Lakhotia, Advocate and Senior Tax Consultant and Mr. Subhash Lakhotia, the eminent & well known authorities on Tax and Money Management Consultants, New Delhi conducted this seminar. There were 52 participants from 31 organizations attended.

5. Two days Workshop on “The RAPMODS System” on 27th & 28th August, 2004 at Hotel Taj Connemara, Chennai 8. Dr. M.R. Ramsay, Innovator of The RAPMODS System, Australia & Mr. Deepak H. Nath, IT and Management Consultant, Endesco Bangalore conducted this workshop. There were 12 participants from 9 organizations attended.

6. Seminar cum Interaction Meeting on “Present scenario in Labour Act Administration” On 16th October, 2004 inaugurated by Mr. M. Sowundarapandian, Presiding Officer, Special Industrial Tribunal.

9. Seminar cum Interaction programme on “Current developments in ESI” on 23.11.2005 inaugurated by Mr. B.K. Venkatesh, Regional Director, ESI Corporation. Mr. Srinageshwar – Executive Director – GIRD, Simpson & Group Companies and Mr. S.F. Edison – Managing Partner of Apt HR Solutions addressed the participants. 123 participants from 79 organizations/industries participanted.

10. Seminar cum Interaction programme on “Current Developments in Export Management” on 25.1.2006 – inaugurated by Mr. M. Sai Kumar, I.A.S., Jt. 12. Half-a-day Seminar cum Interaction programme on “FINANCIAL ENGINEERING FOR SME” At Hotel Savera on 25th March, 2006 (Saturday). 4. AIMO (TNSB) I.R. & D Trust organized 3 days "International Expo cum Seminar on Surface Transportation - Emerging Opportunities & Technology (INFRATECH-2006)" from 17th August 2006 to 19th August 2006 at Indian Institute of Technology Madras (Chennai) with IIT Madras as organizing Partner.

The seminar and Exhibition inaugurated by Y.B. Datuk' Seri S. Samy Vellu, Hon'ble Minister for Works, Government of Malaysia on 17th Aug. 2006. Thiru K.N. Nehru, Hon'ble Minister for Transport, Government of Tamil Nadu delivered the Valedictory address on 19th Aug. 2006.

More than 41 speakers across the country/world addressed the participants during the 3 days event on various subjects of Surface Transportation. There were 380 delegates participated from throughout India from Highways Departments, Road development companies, Contractors. The event is sponsored by M/s. 6. Training programme on "Personality Development - Goal Setting & Leadership Skills" on 14th Oct.2006 by Mrs. Jayanthi Gowrishankar of Talentia, Chennai. 34 delegates from 16 industries participated.

7. Seminar on Customs & Shipping Management on 4.11.2006 inaugurated by Mr. A.K. Srivastava, I.R.S., Chief Commissioner of Customs and addressed by Mr. G.N. Chandrasekaran, Addl. 8. AIMO (TNSB) organized one day Training Programme on " Boost your Sales through Innovative Marketing" on 25th November, 2006 (Saturday) from 9.30 am to 5 pm at our Visvesvaraya Hall. AIMO (TNSB) I.R. & D Trust organized Seminar cum Interaction Meeting on “Current Development in VAT - The Vision for Tamil Nadu” on 16 th December, 2006 (Saturday) from 9 am to 1 pm at Hotel Benzz Park, 41, Thirumalai Pillai Road, T. Nagar, Chennai 17 (Tel: 28159999) to encourage industries to interact with Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes – VAT Cell, Senior Advocate & Management Consultant and leading Auditor on the above subject.

Mr. G. Shanmugam - Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes (VAT Cell), Mr. N. Venkataraman, Senior Advocate & Management Consultant and Mr.B. The objective of the program is to update knowledge of Managers/Executives/Supervisors on recent development & procedures in Employees’ Provident Fund.

AIMO (TNSB) I.R. & D Trust is organized Seminar cum Interaction Meeting on “Environmental Management” on 17th March, 2007 (Saturday) from 9 am to 5 pm at Hotel Deccan Plaza, Chennai-14 to encourage Industries to interact with Joint Chief Environmental Engineer, Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board and with an expert/consultant on the above subject.

In 2007-2008

1. AIMO (TNSB) organized one day repeated programme on "Employees’ Provident Fund" in response to over whelming nominations and demand from Industries and organizations on 7th April, 2007 (Saturday) from 9 am to 5 pm at our Visvesvaraya Hall, AIMO Office, Chennai 34.

The objective of the program is to update knowledge of Managers/Executives/Supervisors on recent development & procedures in Employees’ Provident Fund.

Mr. K. Anandh, formerly Enforcement Officer of the Employees’ Provident Funds Organization, with nearly 35 years of effective experience, has conducted this training programme. More than 49 delegates from 31 organizations/industries attended this programme.

2. In response to over whelming nominations , AIMO (TNSB) I.R. & D Trust organized one more Training Programme on “Success for all time, Emotional Intelligence & Leadership Skills” on 12th May, 2007 (Saturday) from 9 am to 5 pm at our Visvesvaraya Hall . The objective of the program is to train the Managers/Executives/Supervisors in Emotional Intelligence & Leadership Skills.

3. AIMO (TNSB) I.R. & D TRUST organized half-a-day Seminar cum Interaction Meeting on "Latest Amendments in ESI Acts" on 2nd June, 2007 (Saturday) at Hotel Marina Towers, Chennai 8 to facilitate and encourage Personnel, Admin. & Accounts Executives to interact with ESI Authorities on the above subject.

Salai, Mylapore, Chennai 4 to encourage industries to interact with authorities from leading Insurance Companies, Insurance Management Professionals, and Experts on the above subject.

9 AIMO (TNSB) I.R. & D TRUST organized an interaction meeting on "Safety Management in Industries ” on 19th January, 2008 (Saturday) from 9 am to 5 pm at Hotel Pride, (formerly Kings' Park Hotel), Chennai 10 to encourage Industries/Organizations to interact with Chief Inspector of Factories and Expert & Advisor – Industrial Safety to update knowledge and procedures on Safety in Industry.

Shri S. Elangovan, Chief Inspector of Factories, Chennai inaugurated the above meeting and addressed the delegates on above subject.
Shri M. Nithiyananthan, Expert & Advisor – Industrial Safety, Sri Ramachandra Medical College & University conducted this programme with necessary power point presentation.

There were 90 participants from 38 organizations attended this programme and was highly appreciated by all the delegates who attended.

10. AIMO (TNSB) I.R. & D TRUST organized 2 days Certificate Training Programme on "First Aid to injured and to save a life” on 22nd and 23rd February, 2008 at our Visvesvaraya Hall, AIMO office to train and update knowledge & procedures in First Aid by a expert trainer from St. John Ambulance.

Shri S. Chandran, Expert Trainer and Lecturer in First Aid from St. John Ambulance, Tamil Nadu State Headquarters conducted this training programme.

There were 40 participants from 16 organizations attended this programme and was highly appreciated by all the delegates who attended

11. AIMO (TNSB) I.R. & D TRUST organized 1 day Training Programme on "Effective Maintenance of Pumps & Motors" on 22nd March, 2008 at our Visvesvaraya Hall, AIMO office to train and update knowledge & procedures on the above subject by an expert trainer Mr. S. Mahadevan, Engineer and Consultant.

Mr. S. Mahadevan, is an expert trainer, Engineer and Consultant in Energy and Energy Efficiency and Bioenergy Projects with over 35 years of rich experience in Electrical Motors related areas, conducted this training programme.

There were 45 participants from 14 organizations attended this programme and was highly appreciated by all the delegates who attended.

Mahadevan, Engineer and Consultant.

Mr. S. Mahadevan, is an expert trainer, Engineer and Consultant in Energy and Energy Efficiency and Bioenergy Projects with over 35 years of rich experience in Electrical Motors related areas, conducted this training programme.

National Expo, Seminars and Workshops from April 2010 to March 2011.

1. AIMO (TNSB) I.R. & D TRUST organized 2 days National Expo on StudentInnovation – Innovation to Implementation – TECHKNOW-2010 from 2nd April to 3rd April, 2010 at Anna University, Chennai.

The purpose of programme aimed to encourage and show case the best projects done by Engineering College students to become an SELF EMPLOYED and organize possible support from Industrialists, Financial Institutions and Bankers in the fair and to explain to various Teaching faculty in Engineering colleges, as to what should be the bench mark for selection of project titles, attaché them with Industrial partners and evaluate them with world wide opportunities.

A contest of projects was held among around 600 teams of students from various engineering colleges /institutions from our State.

The various engineering projects from these educational institutions by student teams were scrutinized by a panel of jury and about one hundred projects were shortlisted. These short listed projects were further shortlisted by Three panels of Jury and have selected EIGHT STUDENT TEAMS from different engineering colleges of Tamil Nadu for the cash awards ranging from Rs. One lakh to Rs.Ten thousand.

AIMO (TNSB) I.R. & D TRUST organized one day Workshop on “Obligation of Employers & Compliances under Labour Laws” on 15th May, 2010 (Saturday) from 9.00 am to 5 pm at Hotel Marina Towers, Egmore, Chennai-8 to encourage Industries/Organizations to interact with Senior Consultant for Companies and Individuals on the above subject. AIMO (TNSB) I.R. & D TRUST is organized one day training program on "What Every Manager/Supervisor Should Know About Labour Law"   on 26 th March, 2011- Saturday  from 9 am to 4 pm at Hotel Savera, Mylapore, Chennai-4 to encourage Industries & Organizations to interact with Expert/Consultant on the above subject.  

Mr. M. Sankaranarayanan, Joint Commissioner of Labour (Retd.) Chennai conducted this meeting and address the participants on the above subject.

1. AIMO (TNSB) I.R. & D TRUST is organized Interaction Meeting on “Central Excise ” on 30 th April, 2011 from 9 am to 1 pm at Hotel Marina Towers, Egmore, Chennai-8 to encourage Industries & Organizations to interact with the Commissioner of Central Excise and other Deputy and Assistant Commissioners on the above subject.

Shri S.N. Balakrishnan, I.R.S., Commissioner of Central Excise-IV inaugurated the above meeting and addressed the delegates on the above subject.

Shri K.K. Sekar, Dy. General Manager-Taxation & Indirect Taxation, Ashok Leyland Limited pareticipated on behalf of Industries and addressed the delegates on various issues related to Central Excise.

There were 41 participants from 26 organizations/industries attended this programme

2. AIMO (TNSB) I.R. & D Trust organized one day Training Programme on “Disaster Management and Emergency Preparedness” on 28 th May, 2011 at Hotel Marina Towers, Egmore, Chennai-8 to train and update knowledge & procedures in the above subject by Mr. R. Kalyan Raman , an Expert Corporate Trainer of Usha Fire Safety Equipments (P) Ltd.

There were 41 participants from 20 organizations/industries attended this programme

and was highly appreciated by all the delegates who attended.  

3. AIMO (TNSB) I.R. & D TRUST organized an Interaction Meeting on “Income Tax – Personal & Corporate Taxation – Recent Budget Issues ” on 25 th June, 2011 (Saturday) from 9 am to 1 pm at Savera Hotel, Chennai-4 to encourage Industries & Organizations to interact with Chief Commissioner of Income Tax and with leading Auditors on the above subject.

Mr. D. Ravindran, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax-IV, Chennai presided over this meeting and addressed the participants on the above subject .

Mr. G. Narayanaswamy, Senior Partner of M/s. M. Venkatram & Co., Chartered Accountants , addressed the participants on “ Corporate Taxation ” .

Mr. S. Sridhar, Founder Partner of M/s. Sundar Srini & Sridhar, Chartered Accountants addressed on “ Personal Taxation ” . 

There were 43 participants from 28 organizations/industries attended this programme and was highly appreciated by all the delegates who attended.  

4. AIMO (TNSB) I.R. & D TRUST organized One day Training Programme on “Selection, Operation, Effective Maintenance and Trouble Shooting of Motors and Pumps " on 30 th July, 2011 at Hotel Deccan Plaza, Chennai-14 to train and update knowledge & procedures on the above subject by an expert trainer Mr. S. Mahadevan, Engineer and Consultant with other consultants .

There were 47 participants from 24 organizations/industries attended this programme and was highly appreciated by all the delegates who attended.  

5. AIMO (TNSB) I.R. & D TRUST organized Workshop/Training meeting on "Provident Fund & Pension Scheme ” on 27 th Aug.2011 (Saturday) from 9 am to 1 pm at Hotel Deccan Plaza, Chennai-14 to encourage Industries/Organizations to interact with Expert/Consultant to update knowledge on recent development & procedures in Employees' Provident Fund & Pension Scheme .

Shri K. Srinivasan, Retd. Additional Central PF Commissioner (TN & KR), EPFO, Chennai inauguratde the above meeting and addressed the delegates on the above subject.

Shri S. Jothi Kumar, Retd. PF Commr participated in the above meeting to clarify any issues on EPF & EPS Scheme.

Mr. S.F. Edison, Expert / Consultant & Managing Director, Apt HR Solutions Pvt.Ltd., conducted this programme.

6. In response to over whelming nominations and demand from Industries/Organizations , AIMO (TNSB) I.R. & D Trust organized one more Interaction meeting on "Current Development in Provident Fund & Pension Scheme ” on 24 th September, 2011 (Saturday) at Hotel Deccan Plaza, Chennai-14 to encourage Industries/Organizations to interact with Regional Provident Fund Commissioners to update knowledge on recent development & procedures in Employees' Provident Fund & Pension Scheme .

Shri K.V. Sarveswaran, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I inaugurated the above meeting and addressed the delegates on the above subject.

Shri M. Ramakrishnan, Regional P.F. Commissioner-II (Finance & Accounts) & Shri Raman Dhanasekar, Regional P.F. Commissioner-II (Compliance & Recovery) & Shri Nilendu Mishra, P.F. Commissioner, Ambattur have participated in the above meeting and clarified various issues on EPF & EPS Scheme with power point presentation.

There were 110 participants from 56 organizations/industries attended this programme and was highly appreciated by all the delegates who attended.  

7. AIMO (TNSB) I.R. & D TRUST organized one day Training Programme on “Basic Fire Safety & On Site Emergency Preparedness” on 15 th October, 2011 at Hotel Deccan Plaza, Chennai-14 to train and update knowledge & procedures in the above subject by Mr. R. Kalyan Raman , an Expert Corporate Trainer of Usha Fire Safety Equipments (P) Ltd ., Chennai.

There were 46 participants from 24 organizations/industries attended this programme and was highly appreciated by all the delegates who attended.  

8. AIMO (TNSB) I.R. & D TRUST organized an interaction meeting on "Factory / Plant Management ” on 12 th November, 2011 (Saturday) at Hotel Savera, Chennai-4 to encourage Industries/Organizations to interact with Chief Inspector of Factories and Dy. Chief Inspector of Factories & Consultants to update knowledge and procedures on Factory Management. 

Mr. C. Gnanasekara Baburao, Jt. Chief Inspector of Factories, Chennai inaugurated the above meeting and address the delegates on above subject.

9. AIMO (TNSB) I.R. & D TRUST organized organized one day workshop meeting on " Advanced Lean Management - an integrated approach" on 17 th December, 2011 (Saturday) at Visvesvaraya a/c hall in AIMO Office to encourage top brass of Industries/Organizations to attend this programme to improve their business operation to face the competitions successfully.

The President & CEO of Zen Academy Mr. K. Soundararajan and Vice President of Zen Academy Mr. C.S. Ganapathiraman , conducted this programme. 

There were 29 participants from 13 organizations/industries attended this programme and was highly appreciated by all the delegates who attended.  

10. AIMO (TNSB) I.R. & D TRUST organized half-a-day Interaction Meeting on “Current Development in ESI ” on 30th December, 2011 (Friday) at Hotel Deccan Plaza, Chennai-14 to facilitate and encourage Personnel, Admin. & Accounts Executives to interact with ESI Authorities on the above subject.

Shri T.K. Bhattacharyya, Commissioner (P&A), ESI Corporation, New Delhi inaugurated the meeting and addressed to delegates on importance of ESI to employees.

Mrs. K. Padmaja Nambiar, Additional Commissioner and Regional Director, Employees' State Insurance Corporation presided the meeting and addressed the delegates on the above subject.

Shri Mohan Kumar, Joint Director (Revenue), Shri Loorthu Vedham, Joint Director (Benefits & Coordination), and Shri Karuppusamy, Deputy Director (IT) from ESIC have participated and addressed on various issues with power point presentation.

11. AIMO (TNSB) I.R. & D TRUST organized One day Interaction Meeting on “VAT & GST” on 28 th January 2012 (Saturday) at Hotel Deccan Plaza, Chennai-14 to encourage Industries and organizations to interact with expert/consultant on the above subject.

Mr. Ramani, Senior Advocate, Chennai addressed the delegates on " VAT matters pending in the High Court", apart from important recent judgements with power point presentation.
